Recently, we asked you to name your favorite Christmas movie. While we appreciate all of your input, all of the answers were wrong except one. In Idaho, Die Hard is the best Christmas movie ever and here are 5 reasons why.

5. It has tons of guns

If there's one thing we appreciate in Idaho, it's guns. Die Hard has guns in spades. In this one scene, even innocent office tables are savagely shot. We love it.

4. Nothing Says "Merry Christmas" in Idaho quite like writing "Ho, Ho, Ho" on their clothing

"Ho Ho Ho, now I have a machine gun" has to be the best Christmas message ever written on someone else's shirt. How is John McClane not governor of Idaho by now?

3. John McClane loves California

There are many few things that Idaho loves more than Californians. You can just tell that John McClane is from Idaho from his reaction to the yoga pants lady at the airport. "Please move to Twin" you can practically hear him say.

2. Die Hard has more Christmas references than "It's a Wonderful Life"

Die Hard starts during a Christmas party. There are Santa hats, wreaths and Christmas trees everywhere. Have I mentioned the part where Bruce Willis/John McClane writes "Ho Ho Ho, now I have a machine gun" in blood on the guys shirt? There's that, too.

1. Bruce Willis has lived in Idaho most of his adult life and filmed a movie in Twin

I would vote for Die Hard as the best Idaho Christmas movie ever without this fact. But, since Bruce Willis/John McClane has lived in Idaho most of his life, this is a slam dunk. He filmed "Breakfast of Champions" in Twin Falls. For that alone, he should be knighted.

Yippee Ki Yay, Merry Christmas to you!
