TWIN FALLS, Idaho – The 19th annual Science Camp-in is scheduled for a weekend in April at the Herrett Center for Arts and Science at the College of Southern Idaho.

The event, planned for April 7-8, is for students in grades third-fifth.

Participants are invited to the museum for an evening of science workshops, a planetarium show, an observatory sky viewing session, and other fun activities. Science Camp-In is designed to show students a variety of science applications and to demonstrate the many fields of science that they could study at CSI in the future.

Each participant will have an opportunity to select two workshops from a list of exciting options led by CSI faculty and students. Workshop titles include: ‘The Sun in a Box,’ ‘Birds, Beaks, Barf, and Bottles,’ ‘Cool, Hot, and Colorful Chemistry,’ ‘Edible DNA,’ ‘Reptile Wranglin,' ‘Dangerous Art,’ and ‘The Science of Symmetry.’

To end the evening, participants can enjoy pizza and a movie in the Rick Allen Room before going to bed in their sleeping bags. More activities are planned the next morning.
