Almost 8,000 Idaho Power Customers Are Currently Without Power [Update]

As of 6pm, approximately 7,752 people between Rogerson, Hollister, Wendell, Buhl, Twin Falls, and areas in between are experiencing a transmission outage.

The exact issue is still unknown, but lightning may have played a factor. Idaho Power has dispatched two crews to correct the problem.

Idaho Power does not have an exact estimate when power will be restored. According to their outage map, power could be restored to the Magic Valley by 9:15pm.

You can check the Idaho Power's Automated Outage Service by calling 1 (800) 488-6150 and selecting option #1.

Update - 05/18/15 @ 8:50: Power has been restored to most customers.
