Are Black Cats Still Considered Unlucky?

I thought it was common knowledge passed down through the generations that black cats are evil and unlucky creatures (some might argue that applies to all cats). But it turns out that the majority of people don't believe this anymore and now some people think black cats are actually lucky and have helped them win contests or the lottery!
