This has already been one of the most combustible election cycles in US history. As Election Day nears, authorities are asking citizens to be vigilant and report any unusual activity they witness leading up to and during the elections.

if you see something, say something

There are several areas of serious concern. First, the Department of Homeland Security is closely watching any potential cyber attacks that could cause chaos on Election Day. They issued the following statement on their website.

DHS continues to urge state and local election officials to be vigilant and seek cybersecurity assistance from DHS. A number of states have already done so. DHS is providing several services to state and local election officials to assist in their cybersecurity. These services include cyber “hygiene” scans of Internet-facing systems, risk and vulnerability assessments, information sharing about cyber incidents, and best practices for securing voter registration databases and addressing potential cyber threats.

In addition to that, there are reports of terror threats, as reported by Reuters. There are reports that several federal agencies sent bulletins to local authorities warning of possible buzz regarding attacks.

They're asking that if you see something, say something. They have more information about how to do that on their website which obviously includes calling 911.
