Best Place To Camp In The Magic Valley [Survey]
August 23, 2012 12:15 PM Last weekend a few of us dads took our sons out to go camping. None of us are from here, so we had to ask around for ideas on where to go. Balanced Rock got high reviews for being close, nice, and fun. So we headed past Buhl and got into the canyon to Balanced Rock Park. We drove into the park and were not impressed! The water (what little there was) was covered in algae and the park itself reminded us a little too much of Rock Creek Park in Twin. So we high-tailed it out of there and ended up in Hagerman at 1,000 Springs for the night.
I am sure there is a time of year that would be nice to visit Balanced Rock…just not this time of year.
