On the latest episode of the YouTube series The Star Wars Show, host Peter Townley unveiled a never-before-seen member of the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story cast. He may look like R2-D2 with a paint job, but that’s just because ... he looks like R2-D2 with a paint job. But this is a totally different droid! It’s C2-B5.

This Astromech droid works for the Empire, and as such he’s not given the freedoms afforded to a Rebel droid like your R2-D2s of the galaxy. That means no palling around with C-3PO, no bleeping and blooping, and definitely no drinking margaritas after you get off shift on Fridays. These droids are responsible for maintaining the Imperials machinery, but unlike those in the Rebel Alliance, Townley says, “Imperial technicians do not grant their droids independence, and subject them to frequent memory wipes to keep them subservient.” Wow, that is actually really troubling information!

From Star Wars’ Facebook page, here’s an even better look at C2-B5.

If the idea of an evil R2-D2 sounds like fun, I’ve got a recommendation for you: Marvel Comics recently acquired the Star Wars comic-book license as part of Lucasfilm’s merger with Disney. And one of Marvel’s monthly books, Darth Vader, features a pair of evil droids that are basically the doppelgangers of C-3PO and R2-D2. They’re named and 0-0-0 and BT-1, and they’re completely insane and totally awesome and hilarious. There are several volumes of the book in print right now, and it’s great.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters on December 16.
