Chobani Expands in Twin Falls
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) The largest Greek yogurt plant in the world is getting even bigger in southern Idaho with a second expansion since it opened in 2012. Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter joined Hamdi Ulukaya, Chobani founder and CEO, along with other company officials to break ground on the new 70,000-square-foot $20 million research and development building for Chobani on Thursday. The building will have multiple uses in addition to space for the research and development team with an employee gym, eating area, and visitor center for the public. The addition will feature 30,000-square-feet of glass to provide sunlight and transparency.

The new building follows the first major expansion of the plant in 2016 with a $100 million investment. Construction has already gotten underway with an expected opening date in mid-2018. Chobani provided a video on the design of the new building:
