Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT)-The USDA approved Chobani to expand the greek yogurt option nationwide in school lunches.  This approval following a successful 12 state pilot program. The expansion of Greek yogurt is not only good news for Chobani, but for local schools as well. The Twin Falls School District can purchase Chobani's Greek Yogurt in cups or in bulk to be offered at breakfast or used in recipes for food items like smoothies.

Lori Rieth Child Nutrition Supervisor of the Twin Falls School District says, "We're fortunate that we have a Chobani plant here in town, it's a great yogurt, it has more protein than normal yogurts and we're excited to be able to offer it to the students of the district."  The Twin Falls School District expects to incorporate Chobani into lunchroom menus at the start of next school year.
