TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Twin Falls Police are investigating the robbery of a couple early Saturday morning while locking up a business.

According to information released by Twin Falls Police, a man and his girlfriend were robbed at around 2 a.m. while locking up the La Fiesta Restaurant on Blue Lakes Boulevard. Police say another man and woman came from nearby dumpsters behind the business and pulled out a hand gun and demanded money. The male victim handed over his tips from the night. The female suspect then demanded the keys and phone from the female victim. The crime duo then took off.

Police say a canine was able to track the suspects to a nearby hotel, but lost the scent. Police describe the male suspect as about 5'6" to 5'8" tall, wearing a grey sweatshirt. The female suspect was also wearing a grey sweatshirt with a furry tripped hood. Police provided the surveillance photo of the robbery.
