TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Authorities are investigating a two vehicle crash and the intersection of E 3600 N and Blue Lakes Boulevard just south of Twin Falls Wednesday morning. It appears and semi-truck and a pickup collided at the intersection. According to the Twin Falls County Sheriff's office Alen Herden, 84, of Park City, Montana was going east on 3600 North when he turned in front of a PSI truck driven by Cortland Bailey, 21, of Filer who was headed south on Blue Lakes Blvd, or 3000 East.

The smaller vehicle hit the side of the semi trailer.Bailey had to extricated from the vehicle and flown by Air St. Luke's to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi and a passenger were not injured. The crash happened shortly before 10am. The sheriff's office says charges have not been filed at this time.

There is a stop sign at the intersection for traffic going east or west on E 3600 N.  The accident scene had various law enforcement including Twin Falls County Sheriff and Idaho State Police.
