Department of Education, CSI Plan Parents’ Night

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – The State Department of Education, in partnership with the College of Southern Idaho, will hold a parents’ night later this month at CSI to inform them and their students about upcoming benefits available to them.

“Staff from CSI along with representatives from the State Department will be available to talk about specifically what opportunities are available to Idaho students in Idaho through Advanced Opportunities and College and Career Advising programs,” reads a news release about the event.

The event, which begins at 6 p.m. on May 31 and is for students in grades 7-12, will allow parents to learn about resources they can leverage to assist their children with the transition process to post-secondary opportunities. “What are the websites to visit, who are the coordinators to talk to, and what laws are in place to assist students and school districts to help navigate the maze of post-secondary access.”
