Like most Idaho families, my family and I are always looking for new beautiful Idaho destinations. Centennial Marsh in Camas County is a destination that you will want to add to your list.

The 3,100 acre area is covered in beautiful purple Camas Lilies. It's a sight that will take your breath away. Visit South Idaho reports that the property is owned by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Ducks Unlimited, and the Nature Conservancy.

You will want to plan your trip in late May or early June if you want to see the camas lilies in bloom. By July the marsh is dry. You can also take advantage of Camas Lily Days in Fairfeild on June 4th and 5th.

The lilies are only half of the beauty that you see. According to Visit South Idaho, you'll see thousands of birds and their tiny offspring. These birds including: ruddy ducks, northern pintails, American wigeons, mallards, gadwalls, lesser scaup, canvasbacks, and blue-winged, green-winged, and cinnamon teals.
