IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An eastern Idaho sheriff charged with three counts of misuse of public funds is asking that his criminal trial be moved out of the county so he can get an unbiased jury.

The Post Register reports in a story on Thursday that Jefferson County Sheriff Blair Olsen on Monday filed the request in 7th District Court. A grand jury indictment in January accused Olsen of using county money to pay for his wife's cellphone from 2010 to 2012.

In February he pleaded not guilty. He faces up to 33 years in prison if found guilty of the three charges.
