SALMON, Idaho (KTVB) -- The FBI is now involved in the search for a missing eastern Idaho toddler, according to the boy's grandfather.

DeOrr Kunz, who shares a name with his missing grandson, tells KTVB that FBI agents have been in contact with family members and are now helping investigators search for the two-year-old.

DeOrr Kunz Jr. disappeared more than three weeks ago during a family fishing trip. An intense search effort in the Timber Creek and Stone Reservoir areas turned up no sign of the boy.

Sunday, family and friends were back searching near the campsite where the toddler went missing on July 10.

The Lemhi County Sheriff's Office said previously they have not ruled out the possibility that the boy was abducted by strangers.
