Yes, I am kidding a little bit about that 'panic' thing. There has been an earthquake late Sunday morning in West Yellowstone, but it's not exactly a mammoth quake that is likely to wake the super-volcano.

The USGS is reporting this 'quake' as a very mild 2.6. We get earthquakes in this part of the country all the time, especially in the 2 to 3 range. The one reason why we pay attention to even these small ones is that many scientists believe that any real problems with Yellowstone would be preceded by a swarm of small quakes like this.

For the moment, I think the majority of us can relax and move on with our lives. But, if you enjoy imagining the end of life as we know it, feel free to watch this.
