TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Idaho firefighters are dealing with several wildfires across the southern part of the state, one of which closed a state park south of Mountain Home, and another that temporary close down a highway. According to Kelsey Brizendine with the Bureau of Land, the  Loveridge Fire has forced the closure of the Bruneau Dunes State Park after it burned roughly 40,000 acres Sunday evening. The fire also forced visitors to  evacuation of the park. Nine engines, three dozers, two water trucks, and several supervisors are corking to contain the fire. Brizendine says managers have asked for more resources and aircraft to help fight the fire. Meanwhile, the Antelope Fire closed State Highway 26 between Gooding and Shoshone as it jumped the roadway. The fire is currently at about 2,000 acres burning on both sides of the road. Six engines, one dozer, and the Notch Butte Rangeland Fire Protection Association is battling the fire. Brizendine says the fire stopped moving as fast as hit had been during the weekend.
