SHOSHONE, Idaho (KLIX) – A flood warning for southwestern Blaine County and northwestern Lincoln County has been extended.

The flood warning is in effect until 9:15 p.m. Thursday, according to the Pocatello office of the National Weather Service.

“Water continues to run over the spillway from Magic Reservoir,” reads the advisory. “West Magic Road and surrounding areas continue to experience flooding.”

The water level is expected to recede through Thursday, but more rain is predicted for the weekend starting on Friday.

“Additional rises are likely with flooding possible over the weekend into early next week,” reads the advisory.

Locations that could be impacted by flooding is Dietrich, Shoshone and the Shoshone Ice Caves.

Also, according to the weather service's Boise office, flooding continues to be a problem near Highway 46 in Gooding County.
