Gooding, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV) - The Board Members of the Gooding School District have issued a statement following the resignation of Superintendent Mary Larson on February 10th.

The statement said the Board of Trustees is actively working to appoint an interim Superintendent as soon as possible. For the immediate time, the board appointed their chairman, Michael Perry as the representative to oversee the coordination of the daily operations of the district, the statement said.

The statement went on to say that the Board recognizes the difficult times the School District has faced and has hired a facilitator to help the School District identify and address these factors and to begin the process of rebuilding and moving the district forward.

The Board thanks the School District staff, students, patrons and community supporters for the patience in allowing it to conscientiously undertake duties and obligations of the School District. “We are committed to working together with teachers and administrators to assure the best interests of our students continue to be met as our ultimate priority.

The statement was signed by Chairman Michael Perry, and board members David Reeves, Codie Martin, Jim Brockman and Marty Bennett.
