Too bad this didn't happen a few months ago!  After the unexpected death of Davy Jones earlier this year on February 29th, Peter Tork, Micky Dolenz and, Michael Nesmith (who hasn't toured with the Monkees since 1969), have announced that they're finally hitting the road.

The Monkees had previously announced a tour to celebrate their 45th anniversary of the band's big breakthrough year -- 1967 -- when they outsold The Beatles and The Rolling Stones and racked up two #1 albums. This tour will feature the Monkees' biggest hits, as well as album tracks and fan favorites.  Davy Jones will be the focus of a multimedia tribute each night.

We'll miss ya Davy...but this sounds like it will be a great tour!
