JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) – The Jerome County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death a 21-year-old man whose body was found early Monday morning.

Capt. George Oppedyk said in a news release that there were signs of foul play and that the sheriff’s office is investigating the death as a homicide.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of 200 East and 400 North about 4:45 a.m., where they found the body of Jesus Alejandro Perez-Cervantes lying in the middle of the road.

The sheriff’s office believes this is an isolated incident, according to the news release, and that the public is not in any danger.
