How Important Is Credit?

Most of us would rather talk about anything than credit scores. Not only because credit scores are boring, but there is nothing like putting an actual number on who you are. But how important really is your credit score?

In a recent survey from Wallet Hub 34% of people wouldn’t date someone with bad credit, while 49% wouldn’t marry someone with such a rating. So if you want to get married it looks like you may need to clean up your credit score. Ugh!

The survey also found that people would rather go bald, be overweight or prefer to have bad eyesight than have bad credit. My mom always told me good credit was as important as a clean record. I guess she was right?
