Idaho is growing but an almost identical neighbor isn’t.

Wyoming is dead last in growth

A writer at the Washington Post finds it peculiar the Gem State is the fastest growing place by population in the nation.  Meanwhile, Wyoming is dead last in growth.

The writer’s theory is Idaho has a diversified economy while Wyoming is primarily dependent on one product.  That would be coal!  It’s a product subject to booms and busts in the market.  Just 5 years ago Wyoming was the leader in population growth.
