BOISE, Idaho (KLIX) Idaho’s unemployment rate held steady at 3.8 percent for the month of October.

Total job growth, non-farm, in October had a net gain of nearly 15,000 over-the-year job growth in all job sectors except natural resources.According to the Idaho Department of Labor, the national unemployment rate went down from 5 percent to 4.9 percent.

The labor force changed little from October to September. The work force lost 200 falling to 813,000, employed unchanged at 782,100 with unemployed people falling 200 down to 30,900.

Idaho had roughly 24,200 online job posting for October according to Washington D.C. based think tank Conference Board. Health care jobs were the top posts needed to be filled with 28 percent of the postings.

Out of the 44 Idaho counties, 19 had unemployment rates above the state rate. Idaho Falls posted the lowest unemployment rate, while Clearwater County posted the highest.
