JEROME, Id. ( KMVT/KSVT ) More money for the Jerome economy, that’s what the County Fair Board is hoping for with its new plan to build an R.V. park on the fair grounds.

There are 5 acres behind the fair grounds that are currently not being used, and each year they run out of space for R.V. campers during fair time. Board members are currently looking into how much the project would cost, and a preliminary layout of the park has been drafted. County officials say they have some grant money that could help pay for the project.

Hite says they are hoping for 40 R.V. spaces and anticipate some will be available for use by fair time in 2016. On December 14th the fair board is holding a public meeting at 5:30 P.M. inside the Messersmith building on the fair grounds.
