TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Amateur radio operators from around the Magic Valley will host their annual field day event this weekend.

According to the Magic Valley Amateur Radio Club the event kicks off on Saturday, June 25, at the KOA Campground in Jerome (5431 Highway 93, a mile north of the I-84 intersection) and will continue to Sunday. More than 35,000 radio amateurs will get together and operate from remote locations.

The goal is to work as many stations as possible on any band. The public is always asked to participate and learn. People will be able to join in on the communications from various stations in the Magic Valley and around the country.
