SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A man with a history of filing longshot lawsuits is suing the Utah County Clerk over a rejection of his request to marry his computer.

This is the latest lawsuit over this issue from Chris Sevier. He sued the state of Utah and the Salt Lake County Clerk earlier this year before deciding to drop the lawsuit. He's also sued other states including Texas. Sevier argues he has a right to marry his laptop if same-sex couples have a right to marry.

The Daily Herald in Provo reports Utah County Attorney Jeff Buhman says his office will move to get the case dismissed. Sevier says he is willing to take the case to the Supreme Court. Sevier has another lawsuit challenging on religious grounds a Utah law allowing Internet service providers to charge for filtering pornography.
