Gooding, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The new signal at the south end of Gooding, at the junction of U.S. 26 and Idaho 46, is activated, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Crews had planned to test the system throughout the day. The signal will operate under a timed setting until the traffic-detection system is fully operational. In addition to the new signal, the intersection includes several improvements, including a free-running right turn for northbound traffic on the southeast corner of the intersection, an improved storm water collection and retention system.

It cost a little over 700 thousand dollars for the project..
