Twin Falls residents have reported receiving calls with caller ID displaying their own phone number.

If you receive one of these calls, you should resist the urge to answer and just hang up.

It might look like a call from your future self, but it's not. These calls are not uncommon and tend to hit residents in cycles. The FTC issued a press release explaining that technology has made it easy for scammers to fake caller ID and make it appear that calls are coming from any number of locations, including your own phone.

If you receive one of these calls, you should resist the urge to answer and just hang up.  You also shouldn't press any buttons to be taken off the call list. Doing so might give the scammers just what they want.
