This footage of a paraglider collapse in Sun Valley, Idaho will make you want to kiss the ground.

Thank God he was able to pull it off at the last moment.

This nerve wracking video was shot at the Paragliding World Cup in 2012, during a tandem event. Mark Oliver, who posted the video, comments that it was really windy that day and soon after this event, the rest of the day was called off.

It's hard to tell for sure, but it looks like the pilot gets really close to the ground before finally being able to recover.  And you can tell by the crowd reaction that we was cutting it really close. Why he didn't pull his reserve chute, is beyond me.

As Mark says in his post, "Thank God he was able to pull it off at the last moment."
