TWIN FALLS, Idaho – Work will resume on the Perrine Bridge on Sunday evening, impacting traffic late that night and early Monday morning. The $2.3 million project is scheduled for completion by the end of May.

The majority of traffic impacted by the work will be between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to the Idaho Transportation Department. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times, but the speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph.

Work on the bridge includes surface work and repairing concrete curbing and walls.

Previously, Blackfoot-based Cannon Builders Inc. repaired the pedestrian railing, upgraded overhead lighting, replaced surface joints and broken bolts, among other things, but work stopped in November due to cold weather.

The Perrine Bridge project is one of 27 projects advanced in 2015 by ITD using funds allocated by the Legislature, according to the news release. It was the first time in nearly two decades that funding increased for state transportation projects.
