CALDWELL (KTVB) – Police investigators in Caldwell say they have identified a man suspected of robbing a local Key Bank last Friday.

The suspect is 42-year-old Richard J. Macias of Caldwell.

Macias was seen on surveillance cameras in the bank. He made no attempt to wear a disguise. He was the only suspect to enter the bank. It is unknown if anyone else was involved.

Police sent photos of the robbery to the media and within a short time had received several tips from the public about the identity of the robber.

By Sunday morning the suspect had been identified as Macias. Investigators served a search warrant on his home in Caldwell and collected evidence. Macias is believed to have left the state immediately after the robbery.

Based on information and evidence gathered by police, an arrest warrant was issued for Macias for robbery and burglary.

Caldwell Police officers are working with the FBI and the U.S. Marshall's office to locate Macias.
