Here's a throwback for you. Remember when this tiny little green cardboard card could get you a half-pint bottle of milk or cream in Buhl?

There was a time here in Southern Idaho when metal and cardboard tokens were THE way to get certain types of goods. But, this card is one I've never seen before. According to the Ebay listing, there's a reason for that.

As a category, old cardboard or celluloid tokens are just tough to find, ONE REASON THESE OLD THICK CARDBOARD TOKENS ARE SCARCE, IS ONCE THROWN IN A TRASH PIT OR OUTHOUSE…THEY COULD NEVER BE METAL DETECTED OR DUG….(had to be purposely saved by great grandpa in with photos, postcards etc…these just did not survive.

That makes complete sense when you think about it. Cardboard sure isn't gonna show up when you take your metal detector out into the yard. This green cream card seems to be in epic shape, too.

If you're interested, check out the full Ebay listing. Looks like the seller is asking a rather fair $10 and change for this little piece of Buhl history.
