According to The Weather Channel Stanley, Idaho has seen numerous avalanches in the last few days. Some of these avalanches have caused road closures leaving residents unable to leave their homes for several days.

511.gov is reporting that Hwy 75 is closed between Hwy 21 (1 mile north of the Stanley area) and Squaw Creek Road (4 miles south of the Clayton area). The road is closed due to avalanche danger.

Currently weather forecasts suggest that snow will continue today through Thursday. This will cause continued closures on Hwy 75. It is unknown at the time when Stanley residences will be able to access Hwy 75.
