Safe Harbor in Twin Falls is hosting an upcoming volunteer event to raise canned food and cash donations for Safe Harbor.
  • When: October 9, 5:30 - 7:30 pm
  • Where: Safe Harbor, 213 5th Avenue West
  • Why: Raise canned food & cash donations for Safe Harbor
About: The event is on Friday, October 9th from 5:30-7:30 at Safe Harbor, 213 5th Avenue West. For 2 hours, Safe Harbor will be blitzing our community to raise canned food and cash donations for Safe Harbor. Every can of food and dollar raised goes toward Safe Harbor’s mission of ending hunger in the Magic Valley.

On October 9th, head to Safe Harbor with your team of 2 or 4 to register. Safe Harbor will provide handouts, map and boxes and teams will hit the streets to collect donations and spread Safe Harbor’s mission. Would be a great option for: date night, families, work groups and clubs.

What's the CHALLENGE?
The event is called Be the Change-the Magic Valley Challenge. There will be a competition between teams to raise the most $$ and food! The winners will take home special prizes.

Where do donations go?
Food is distributed to the needy in our community. Safe Harbor provides up to 150 food boxes a month and with the winter and holidays coming, families are more in need than ever! Cash donations are used to fund the soup kitchen and to provide Christmas toys for kids.

What does Safe Harbor do?
Safe Harbor is a food pantry, resource center and soon to be Saturday soup kitchen. Safe Harbor also sponsors needy families for the holidays and provides blankets, toiletry kits and warm clothing in the winter.
