TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Some residents in Twin Falls will see their streets closed as crews apply what is called a 'fog sealing' to extend the life of the roadway. The city of Twin Falls says the 'fog sealing' will begin today and go to August 10. Crews will be applying a liquid like asphalt to streets that will improve the ride and extend the life of the street.  From the city of Twin Falls:

Work will focus on Zones 4 and 5 of the City of Twin Falls’ Zoned Maintenance Program, which includes city streets between Sparks Street North to Creekside Way and Falls Avenue West to Filer Avenue West. The program was implemented by the city to improve efficiency and reduce the impact that public infrastructure maintenance and improvements has on residents and visitors. The program isolates infrastructure maintenance, such as streets, water, and sewer to specific zones within the city limits.

The fog seal will require people to move their cars off the street as well as garbage bins and anything else left out. It will take anywhere from one to two hours for the 'fog seal' to dry forcing people in cars, bikes, and pedestrians from using the street. Any questions people can call City of Twin Falls Public Works Department at 208-736-2275.
