It's not often you hear Idaho referenced in song so we were pretty excited to find this song with a tile that features the Gem State.

I can assure you, this video was not filmed in Idaho. The palm trees were a dead giveaway. ;)

Singer Bryan Lanning recorded a song titled, "Idaho" which has a much deeper meaning than highlighting a state on the map.

The video features kids playing with with wooden swords and a monster who winds up trapped by the same children he chases.

There are images of what appears to be an alcoholic father, and lyrical references to being "held in" and "held together" by a small town. (Some Idahoans might relate.) Without context, it's difficult to grasp the full meaning the artist is trying to convey, but I imagine this song is inspired by a deep, personal experience.

It wasn't exactly what I expected but I enjoyed the song by this talented performer, and I found myself moved by the story.

On a side note,  I can assure you, this video was not filmed in Idaho. The palm trees were a dead giveaway. ;)
