High winds today (Monday, March 17, 2014) have cancelled the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade, however food and drinks are still on to celebrate the day!  Happy St. Patty's Day All!

The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade is scheduled for Monday, March 17th, starting at Noon.

The 2014 Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Historic Downtown Twin Falls is from Noon until 1 PM on Monday, March 17, 2014:

Watch for Road Closures:

The Twin Falls Police say Main Avenue from the 600 Block East to Main Avenue North and Dierkes Street will be closed for the parade beginning at 11:30 AM and will reopen after the parade around 1 PM.

Those participating in the parade will line up in the 500 to 600 block of Main Avenue East.  Parade goers are reminded to park two to four blocks away to avoid congestion in the downtown area and those participating in the parade are reminded that throwing candy from the floats is not permitted.  The 100 North block of Main Ave. will be closed until 1 AM Monday for St. Patrick’s Day events in the downtown area.

Wind Warning:

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Warning for St. Patrick's Day (Monday, Mar. 17) from 9 AM through 6 PM. Daytime highs will only reach 47 degrees, there's a 40% chance of showers through noon! and winds could gust up to 60 mph at times.
