TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – The Twin Falls School District has been named recipient of the Idaho Education Association’s Betty Roper Public Relations Award.

The IEA Board of Directors recently made the announcement, inviting district officials to the Delegate Assembly Awards Ceremony on April 22 in Boise.

The award goes to the district’s teachers association, the Twin Falls Education Association.

The award “is so well deserved,” district spokeswoman Eva Craner said. “The degree with which they work with our district administrators to continually improve education in the TFSD is unparalleled. They take it upon themselves to promote education initiatives here in Twin Falls and the teaching profession as a whole.”

The award includes a $250 stipend for communications and public relations efforts.

“The nomination and subsequent selection by the IEA Board demonstrates your dedication to public education and the Association,” reads a letter to the district.
