The new season of America's favorite survivalist series begins in just a few days. The upcoming season is promising to be one of the most dangerous in the reality show's eight-year run, and Gem State fans might be a bit taken aback once they learn about this season's cast.

If you're familiar with the reality series Alone, then you understand it takes a very unique individual to outlast all other contestants. All indications are pointing to a new season of the highly-popular survival reality series, and the show's creator has given some pointers on how Idaho fans can get on the show.

This gives fans of the show an opportunity to win survivalist training for two individuals in California, a virtual meet and greet opportunity with a past winner, roundtrip airfare, car rental, and $1,500 in prizes including a survivalist kit.

The new season features two Idahoans. Karie Lee Knoke, 57, is a Sandpoint native, and Benjamin (Benji) Hill, 46, lives in Bellevue.
