Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder revealed photos of Batman, the Batmobile and Wonder Woman on his Twitter feed, but lately things have been pretty quiet. Many fans were hoping for a first official look at the Batman vs. Superman trailer in theaters with Jupiter Ascending, but that didn't happen. Rumors have it that the trailer itself is ready and just waiting for the right moment to premiere. Could that moment be almost upon us? Snyder returned to Twitter last night, tweeting the first photo of Jason Momoa as Aquaman, along with the new tagline #unitetheseven.

Not to be outdone by the big 'Captain America 3'/Civil War announcement from earlier this week, Warner Bros. dropped some superhero news of their own. They've confirmed their 2017, 2018 and 2019 superhero movies as well as announced some new casting for members of the new Justice League.

Yesterday, the internet got itself all excited with the news that Warner Bros. had registered a bunch of new DC Comics URLs including JusticeLeagueFilm.com, WonderWomanTheMovie.com, AquamanMovie.com and ShazamMovie.com, and that it must mean something exciting! Except, it's not really true.

We've known for a little while that Aquaman will be a part of the new DC and Warner Bros. superhero movie universe. We've also known for a while that 'Game of Thrones' star Jason Momoa is filling the hero's slippery shoes. And with WB recently claiming several release dates, it was just a matter of time before a new solo-superhero movie was announced -- one that's not Superman or Batman. Yes, that's right, Aquaman is getting his very own movie.

After a slow few weeks, Warner Bros. is finally starting to get public with their big plans for building a DC superhero movie universe to rival Marvel. Despite their shockingly quiet Comic-Con, they went ahead and announced plans to pump out two movies a year through 2020, announcing dates but no titles. Fan speculation ran rampant: 'Justice League'? A new Batman movie? 'Shazam' starring Dwayne Johnson? All of this is still cloaked in shadows and fog, but answers may arrive sooner than you think.

Jason Momoa is tight-lipped. Sure, the former 'Game of Thrones' and future 'Batman v Superman' star is happy to be on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' to chat it up with professed big fan Jimmy Kimmel, but he's not going to let anything slip about the worst kept secret in Hollywood right now -- that he's playing Aquaman in the next major DC comic book movie. Admittedly, though, he sure looks nervous about it.

Sorry Vinny Chase, you've been replaced; Jason Momoa has been added to 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' as Aquaman. Considering that the film is something of a warm up for 'Justice League,' it looks like they've got one more player in place for future sequels/spinoffs.
