The night is finally here! I have been looking forward to this like high school prom...and I was really excited for that :) The Polyester Party takes off tonight at 7 at the Red Lion in Twin. You can come dressed in your best 70's outfit and win great prizes or just come ready to have fun and get your groove on.
We don't know if it was the hair, the clothes, or the music that made the 70's so memorable...here's one thing we know for sure - Disco is not dead! Come and show off your moves or learn some new ones at the Polyester Party on March 16th from 7-11pm at the Red Lion in Twin! We’ll have music and dancing, a no host bar, free appetizers, games and prizes – it will be a disco inferno!!!
I am a dad (against the advice of my college counselors) to 4 kids, and it can be a challenge to get one on one time with all of them. It is nice to go out on daddy daughter dates, or mother and son activities - but in a group setting are those kinds of activities discriminatory?
To steal a line from Rod Stewart...Tonight's The Night! The first dance of the summer is here and kicks off at 8pm tonight at the Turf Club.
Admit it: If you were alive during the summer of 1991, you were probably singing and dancing along to Madonna's 'Vogue.'
9-year-old Robert Jeffrey certainly was - and he has the epic video to prove it. This week, Jeffrey posted the video on his Tumblr page, allowing the entire Internet to catch a glimpse of his seriously awesome moves (not to mention a nice look at the '91 New York skyline).
Nine years ago in March, I married the lovely Katharina Bailey - now she's stuck being called Kat Bird :)
I still remember our wedding ceremony and reception. We were poor (were...ha) so we had an ice cream bar instead of a big dinner. We did have a live band and they played You Say It Best by Allison Krauss as our first dance song.
We had Malory, Dakota, and Timbra from the Jubilant Dance Company come in this morning and they talked about their upcoming competitions and the need they have for sponsors.
