With recent information stating the demise of the DVD within the next 5 years, it comes as a big surprise to me that the majority of Americans still own a VCR.

‘Magical Mystery Tour,’ the Beatles‘ 1967 made-for-TV film, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray worldwide on Oct. 8 and in North America on Oct. 9, which, coincidentally, would have been John Lennon’s 72nd birthday. The movie will also have a limited theatrical release on Sept. 27.
Evolution. It doesn't just apply to living things! We have gone from reel to reel to VHS to DVD to Blu Ray, and now there's a new sheriff in town - Streaming video. I know we will still use discs for a long time (at least until there is reliable internet in Hollister), but a recent announcement states that for the first time ever, this year more people will watch streaming videos than discs...

Funnyman Ed Helms may look a bit different when 'The Hangover Part II' hits DVD shelves later this year.
According to EW.com, Warner Bros. is considering digitally altering the tattoo on Helms' character's face after a copyright infringement lawsuit was filed recently by tattoo artist Victor Whitmill. (Whitmill is the designer of the tattoo on Mike Tyson's face, which 'Part II' references.)
