With recent information stating the demise of the DVD within the next 5 years, it comes as a big surprise to me that the majority of Americans still own a VCR.

Technology is a beast! It seems like we have a new, awesome, and useful technological advancement every day...but that usually means the end of some of our old favorite technology. Here are the top 5 tech gadgets that will be gone in 5 years.

‘Magical Mystery Tour,’ the Beatles‘ 1967 made-for-TV film, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray worldwide on Oct. 8 and in North America on Oct. 9, which, coincidentally, would have been John Lennon’s 72nd birthday. The movie will also have a limited theatrical release on Sept. 27.

Funnyman Ed Helms may look a bit different when 'The Hangover Part II' hits DVD shelves later this year. According to EW.com, Warner Bros. is considering digitally altering the tattoo on Helms' character's face after a copyright infringement lawsuit was filed recently by tattoo artist Victor Whitmill.
