Things are getting busy at the Twin Falls Animal Shelter! Spring always means there are more animals outside sowing their seed. This also means that new litters of dogs and cats are left at the Shelter needing special care and homes. Gus is a 14 week old neutered male border Collie/Labrador mix.

When I talked with Debbie Blackwood at the Twin Falls Animal Shelter she told me that spring is definitely in the air, the animals are all twitterpated (so have your spayed or neutered), and that there are way too many animals at the shelter. There have still been quite a few reports of stolen dogs. the problem is that most people are reporting them to the Animal Shelter...while you should check with the shelter to see if your dog is there, if you are certain that the dog was stolen you need to report it to the police.

This weeks KOOL Kritter was named by a three year old boy - he named the dog Horsey. Horsey is a 1 1/2 year old Pomeranian mix.  He is a shy boy but he is also very sweet!  He gets along well with other dogs and also with cats.

The KOOL Kritter this week is a senior citizen...Dizzy is an 8 year old Shepherd cross and an amazing dog! The great thing about older dogs is that their energy level is much easier to have around, they make great walking companions but don't need to go for a 10 mile run every day.
