A guy makes a grandiose gesture to show his love. He asks his girlfriend to marry him, in front of thousands of people at a major sporting event. Usually they have happy endings, but not this time.

As we approach Valentine’s Day and the season of love, a lot of couples get the urge to take that big step toward marriage. But before your eyes well up with tears of joy and sweetness, you must do the math. Based on the law of percentages, not all of these proposals can possibly go well.

Every married person has a story about their proposal (and it often changes dramatically depending on who you ask) whether it was amazing or spur of the moment or a disaster.  This guy, I think, put us all to shame.
