Unless you are an angst-ridden teenager you probably enjoy spending time with your family. Even though we love our parents and brothers and sisters - that does not mean we get along all the time and that we enjoy long amounts of time together.

Thanks to my kids - we all know that it is not exactly enjoyable or relaxing traveling with kids. But that doesn't mean you can't try to make it nice. But it is summertime and you are probably planning some fun trip in the next few weeks, so how do you plan a perfect road trip?

When I was a kid and family vacation came around it was always a surprise. Our parents never asked where we wanted to go they would plan it and say "This is what we are doing." Luckily my parents had good taste in vacation destinations! In your house who plans the vacations?
