Despite only 44 adult sockeye salmon returning from the Pacific Ocean to Idaho's central mountain lakes, there are more than 2,000 of the fish available for spawning.
There are a ton of places to go hiking near Stanley and Redfish Lake. If you have never been to the Lily Pond, it is a bit of a hike but totally worth it. And if you are not much of a hiker there is actually a ferry you can take to reduce the stress of the hike.
When I can't find time to travel to this area of the Gem State, I enjoy living vicariously through the footage of drone pilots that share remarkable area visuals on just about a weekly basis
It's not unusual to see someone making a claim about something. But, I've heard from multiple people that this is Idaho's best camping spot. What say you?
