Just a few feet from reaching the top where the rock itself sits on its pedestal, I began hearing a sound that I couldn't quite identify. My daughter was with me as well, and she also heard it.

If you asked me what the most relaxing sound in the world is, I'd say a baby laughing, music, or a babbling brook. Apparently I'm wrong.

There are so many sounds that annoy us every day. Coworkers with the sniffles, fingernails being clipped, dogs barking, Snooki from Jersey Shore, and of course - the nails on a chalkboard! Turns out though that scratching your nails on the chalkboard is not the most annoying sound in the world...but it is in the top 5. Listen to them all after the jump.
