We have all said it or heard it. Somebody asks where you are and you reply with 'I'm in the middle of nowhere'. A new study of highways and towns found that unless you were in Idaho you were not really in the middle, maybe just close to nowhere, since the middle of nowhere is technically in Southern Idaho.

The study took into account all the major highways in the US and determined that South West Idaho is the middle of nowhere since it doesn't have any major roads that go near it. You could also be in the middle of nowhere a little more North in Central Idaho, North West Arizona at the Grand Canyon, and in the North part of Maine (but only if you don't count Canada roads).
