We all know that the police are out to help people. We also know that weather advisories are given to help people. Yet, we as 'the people' still ignore warnings intended to keep everyone safe.

We get some crazy strong winds in Idaho and there always seems to be at least a breeze. During a recent windy winter storm Police in Wyoming were helping motorists on the side of the highway when a semi-truck was suddenly blown over onto one of the troopers cars. It happens so quick in the video that you may have to watch it more than once to see how fast a situation can turn south.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol left this plea to motorists that applies just as much in Idaho as it does anywhere

All we ask is that you please follow high wind advisories and closures when you are traveling in our great state. Even if you plan to travel at reduced speeds.

Luckily the trooper was not in his patrol car and wasn't hurt in the accident.
